Bonfire Night is a great excuse to wrap up warm, get out of the house and enjoy an evening with friends, family and neighbours. We’ve compiled this list of bonfire night and fireworks events taking place so that you can take your pick.
After a year where most events were cancelled due to the pandemic it is expected that these events will be popular - so ensure you check the date, time and details such as booking requirements in advance.
Fingle Glen Halloween and Fireworks Party – Saturday 30 October
Fingle Glen’s famous Halloween Fireworks Party is back. Expect family fun, fancy dress, a kids disco and fantastic firework display. There will also be a BBQ, bar, funfair attractions, face painting and much more. After the fireworks there’s no need to rush away as the After Party begins! The bar is open late with a DJ playing till 11pm.

Bonfire Night Celebration at Bridwell Park Estate - Thursday 4 November
Lord Ivar and the team at Bridwell Park Estate are welcoming the community to a brand new family friendly Bonfire Night Celebration. Gates open at 6pm and there will be hot food stations, glow in the dark goodies, Bonne Bouche warm waffle ice creams as well as a mulled cider and a pop up bar from Ventons of Devon.
The bonfire will be lit at 6:30pm with a Sonic Fireworks Pyro-technic musical fireworks display from 7pm. There will be stewarded car parking on the evening with the last entry at 6:45pm
Admission: Adult Ticket £7.00 (over 18s)
Child Ticket £3.00 (all under 18s apart from babes in arms)
Newton St Cyres School Fireworks - Thursday 4 November
Head to the Newton St Cyres Recreation Ground for a fireworks display organised by the school’s PTA. Doors open at 5pm and fireworks start at 6.30pm. You’ll also be able to enjoy a glow stall, sweets, food and drink.
Pay on the gate or order tickets in advance by email
Tickets are £5 for adults and £2 for children. Children under 4 years are free.
Copplestone Lighting Up the Parish – Friday 5 November
A children’s procession will start from the school at 6.30pm and travel through the village ending up in the field behind Dulings Farm. The bonfire will be lit when the procession arrives (approx 7.15pm) with fireworks to follow at around 8pm.
There will be food and drink available including hot dogs and mulled cider as well as some goodies for the children. No cards accepted - only cash on the night.
Fireworks Night at North Tawton Rugby Club – Friday 5 November
North Tawton RFC Fireworks Night is back after a 2 year wait. Gates open at 7pm for an 8pm start with a bonfire, BBQ and bar. You can purchase your tickets on PayPal (links below), from the North Tawton Post Office or at the gate on the night. The tickets will also gain you entry to the Halloween Disco before the fireworks from 4pm - 6pm.
Tiverton Rugby Club Fireworks Display – Friday 5 November
The bonfire will be lit at 7pm with the fireworks being set off at 7.30pm. The club bar will be open from 5pm with food available from 6pm.
Admission: £5 per adult, £3 per child (4-15yrs).
There is no parking at the club itself - except for some disabled parking. There is very limited parking at Petroc College, so the advice is to walk to the club.
Tiverton Golf Club Fireworks Night – Friday 5 November
One of Tiverton’s best loved fireworks and bonfire celebrations. The dazzling firework display has been set to music for an evening not to be missed. Gates open at 4:30pm with outdoor bar and food available (cash only). There will be face-painting, bungee trampolines and an inflatable slide and free sparklers.
Admission: £7.50 for adults, £2.50 for kids over 5 years, £15 for a family of four. Under 5s go free.

Hatherleigh Fireworks & Bonfire Night - Saturday 6 November
The gates open at 5pm and free hot dogs or soup will be provided. There will be live music, family entertainment and a fireworks display at 8pm
